SEPTEMBER
2007
Thanks
to everyone who came out to the recent shows in Germany, Belgium
and the UK.
Special mention must go to the crowd at Chepstow Castle Festival
who not only battled through torrential rain to get there, but
waded knee-deep through mud
to the beer tent so determinedly - some of you even managed
to fall face-first into the quagmire
and get back up again without spilling a drop. We salute you!
But we could see that many of you weren't so lucky at holding
on to your beer glasses
so... to you we dedicate Lettin' Go!
We'll shortly be adding some more shows to the festivals already
posted on the Tour page
so check the site regularly for updates. See ya soon!

NEWSFLASH
- MONDAY 12th FEBRUARY 2007
We
are very sorry to announce that last Wednesday ANDY PARKER broke
his ankle by slipping on a wet floor.
After two hospital appointments Andy had surgery today and now
has a plate and some screws in his ankle.
Needless to say, he won't be ready to play the UFO tour in March.
We are all very upset about this.
After much discussion between Andy and the other bandmembers
the decision was taken
to go ahead with the tour and play the March dates with a replacement
drummer.
Our good friend Simon Wright (Dio, ex AC/DC) was kind enough
to step in immediately - thanks mate!
As many of you will know, Simon toured with UFO on the Walk
On Water tour (no pun intended!)
and we're sure you'll join with us in thanking Simon for keeping
the tour on schedule
and in wishing Andy a speedy and comfortable recovery.
Get well soon, Mr. Parker!

| A
Tour Update From Andy - December 2006
Hi y'all
I'm now back home in Texas where it is a glorious 70 degrees and
sunny. To all you poor blighters freezing your butts off back
in Europe, you have my sympathy. I certainly don't mean to rub
your noses in it, but as I spent a good half of the tour battling
the "Pete Way Toxic Flu", it feels good to be somewhere
warm again!
Anyway I'm well on the mend and wanted to take this opportunity
to tell you all just how much I enjoyed the tour. As most of you
know I haven't toured with UFO (apart from some festivals during
the summer) since 1993, and I haven't toured the UK with them
since 1983, so this was really special.
First off I have to tell you that it feels absolutely fantastic
to be back in the band again. I truly believe we are sounding
better than ever, and judging by the receptions we've been getting,
it would appear that you agree. I've said it before and I'll say
it again "UFO fans are the best fans in the world."
YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!
I want to thank you all for making the tour so successful. I know
some of you traveled great distances to see us and we really appreciate
the effort. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces in
the audience, and after the shows. I feel like I have grown up
with many of you. It was also great to see so many of your kids
at the shows. It's like a whole new generation of UFO fans. It
totally blows me away!
Thank you for all your positive comments in the guest book. Keep
them coming, and thank you ALL for making me feel so welcome in
my return. To those of you who have been asking about Chapman
era material in the set, all I can say is don't give up hope,
you may still get your wish. There are plans for us to tour Russia,
Scandinavia, North Germany and hopefully Scotland in March 2007
so I hope to see some of you then.
All that
remains is for me to thank you once again from all us and to wish
you all a very happy and healthy Christmas. See you in the New
Year.
CHEERS! Andy

Phil has returned from Vinnie's
house in Delaware
where he and Vinnie have been working on songs for the new album.
In mid-March, all the bandmembers are due to arrive in Hannover,
Germany
to start rehearsing and developing the twelve songs
that have resulted from the writing sessions.
In late March/early April the actual recording will take place.
The drums will be recorded in Hannover and the rest in Celle,
near Hannover.
The aim is to deliver the finished tracks to the record company
sometime in May
and then there will be some festivals in the summer.
See the TOURDATES page
for updates as they are announced.
SPV plan to release the new album in late summer/early autumn,
and then the band is due to begin touring in October.
Andy is in fantastic shape and we all can't wait to finally
start working!

UFO would like to wish all the fans
a happy and healthy 2006 and to thank
you all
for your loyalty and support during 2005.
We are delighted to welcome Andy Parker
back into the UFO family and as you know,
Andy already played his 'first' gig as part of UFO's headlining

UFO wishes him and his band all the very best for the future.
Phil and Vinnie
will meet shortly in Delaware to work on new songs,

are already composing material for a new studio album.
The idea is to record the new album in March/April
this year but
no decision has yet been taken as to where these recordings will
take place.
